The interactive urban installation The Wave consists of forty triangular, interactive, both glowing and sounding gates. It stands 3,6 metres tall and 80 metres long. The gates responds to movement sonically and visually. The audiences therefore co-create the artistic experience and convey unique light and sound events that constantly change the perception of the installation during its entire life span. We like to regard The Wave as a beacon of light in the city’s ongoing darkness during the winter months.

The Wave was first exhibited in Februar 2017, where the inhabitants of Copenhagen of all ages could meet and interact with the installation, admiring it both close-up and from afar. The installation was easily seen from the Opera House, Papirøen, the inner harbour bridge, displaying a visually evident, central contribution to the harbour.

In the future The Wave will probably travel the world to be part of events where its spectacular size and engaging design will light up cities all over the world.

Music of the Spheres @The Royal Danish Library

For a concert night in The Royal Danish library we created an immersive video projection. The theme for the night was outer space and we chose to find unique prints from ancient astronomy books which were then projected onto the walls of the library.

For an evening music event in the The Royal Danish Library we created an immersive video projection. The theme for the event was outer space and we chose to find unique prints from ancient astronomy books, which were projected onto the walls of the library. The slowly floating graphics complemented the classical music of Rued Langgaard perfectly.

We handled the visuals used and created a technical setup that enabled us to cover a very big area of the interior walls of the library.

Vertigo took part in creating the stage setup at this concert during Frost Festival. It took place in the historic building of Arbejdermuseet. We created a light design that was tailored specifically for the surroundings. Behind the artist an old painting was enhanced with video projected images and a large number of light bars were placed around the artist creating a small forest of light.

Gloria stage @Roskilde Festival

The Gloria Stage is the smallest and most intimate of the stages at Roskilde Festival. Since 2011 2011 we have been in charge of the full set design and lighting design.

The Gloria Stage is the smallest and most intimate of the stages at Roskilde Festival. A number of very different acts from diverse genres perform there and the challenge is to create a space that works for everything from Indian drum music to Norwegian heavy metal.

Since the opening of this stage in 2011 we have been in charge of the full set and light design. For those bands that have brought their own visuals we help them get it up and running. For those acts that did not bring their own VJ we create visuals for them. We used a number of live cameras on stage that allow us to give everybody in the audience a sense of what happened on stage.

Copenhagen City Museum approached us as they wanted to create an interactive experience for an exhibition about city life youth culture in the 1950s. Together with the museum we came up with the idea of creating a simple dancing game. Two dancers were filmed and a wooden structure was created for the installation. The dancers are projected onto this structure and the audience is instructed to dance along while their motions are tracked by our system.

We were approached by an event agency to collaborate with them in creating graphical content for this event for Nykredit. While a large line-up of artists performed on stage, a number of big screens displayed animated panoramas of a magical world. We were also in charge of providing live cameras so that everybody in the audience had a good view of the events on stage.

Babel Opera

Babel is a modern opera by Steingrimur Rohloff that was performed by the Athelas Sinfonietta at Hof Teatret in Copenhagen. It is inspired by a short story of the same name by Jorge Luis Borges.

We designed the digital stage graphics in a flexible screen solution for this opera. Two vertical screens were placed on stage. They were mounted so that it was possible to move them during the performance. We also created the minimalist graphics that placed the actors in an augmented digital world.

Video mapping, Rovsinggade Moske

In 2014 the new mosque and islamic culture house, Rovsinggade Moske, opened in Copenhagen. We were commissioned to create something spectacular for the opening event.

We came up with the idea of a digital installation in the form of projections onto the ceiling of the central room in the mosque. We designed a technical solution that made it possible to animate the decorated dome in the ceiling.

We then proceeded to create specially tailored graphics around the theme of the creation of the universe. Along with a musical score we gave the audience a dramatic audiovisual experience.
